On Thursday evening a post went up on pieces of information that has generated considerable controversy
. It is not the first time I put the pat
to this blog, but it seems that arithmetic errors are minor peccadilloes against the other day.
Tonight, after returning home after a long weekend I've seen ten unmoderated comments, and read and reread my post I realized the mistake he had made (which, however, corrected at the end).
I know that a byte is 8 bits and 8-bit word has 8 letters and therefore, with a byte of information can write up to 256 different words, and so the ASCII code ... etc. I have sufficient training and information to know, but when I wrote this came from just two days without sleep, and mistook the byte = 2 ^ 8 with 8 = 2 ^ 3. An unforgivable error coming from a mathematical computing, which is explained by the odd hours to which I devote myself to writing about these things.
However, the gravest error of the post is not to re-read what you write before publishing it, mandatory standard, which if not followed resulting in an embarrassing lack of rigor.
I ask all who visit this blog my most sincere apologies and promise to put the means to make it not happen again.
The post has remained all these days proque've been away from computers, as I was able to connect has disappeared, like the comments, the most successful (which I appreciate greatly) and not so successful that apart from they said insulting nonsense much higher than mine, I repeat, was an unfortunate accident.
